WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.
NEWCHURCH: Borthwood Lane will close during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, December 8. There is no alternative route.
BINSTEAD: Church Road will shut during utility works, in a north-east bound direction between its junctions with Binstead Hill and Quarr Road, between 8am on Monday and 5pm on Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
PORCHFIELD: Thorness Lane will close during carriageway repair works, along its entire length, over one shift, between Monday and Wednesday. There is no alternative route.
APSE HEATH: Newport Road will shut during arboriculture works, between its junctions with Alverstone Road and Winford Road, in one shift on Monday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
BEMBRIDGE: Sandown Road will close during drainage works, between its junctions with Bembridge Road and Hillway Road, in one shift between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
BRIGHSTONE: Various roads will shut during a Remembrance Day parade, along Main Road, between its junctions with Moortown Lane and Upper Lane; New Road, between its junctions with Main Road and Wilberforce Road; and North Street, along its entire length, from 9.30am until 12pm on Sunday.
FRESHWATER: Everard Close will shut during utility works, along its entire length, between 8am on Wednesday and 4pm on Tuesday, November 21. There is no alternative route.
Also, Copse Lane will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Hooke Hill and Regina Road, during one shift, between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
