WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid in some of the major towns.
Thanks to Island Roads, we have provided a handy selection of those worth avoiding.
IN NEWPORT:
- Staplers Road — will be shut during utility works, between its junctions with Mayfield Drive and Godric Road, from 7pm until 6.30am daily, between Wednesday and Tuesday, December 19, or when the works have been completed.
- Rowridge Lane — will close during carriageway repair works, along its entire length, over one shift between Wednesday and Friday, November 10.
IN SHANKLIN:
- Hyde Road — will close during utility works, between its junctions with Brook Road and Landguard Road, between 8am tomorrow (Monday) and 6pm on Wednesday , or when the works have been completed.
IN EAST COWES:
- York Avenue is due to have major work done, with the anticipated start date of Wednesday, November 8. Read more here
IN SANDOWN:

Beachfield Road — will be shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Grange
Road and Royal Street, from 12.01am tomorrow (Monday) until 11.59pm on Friday, November 10, or when the works have been completed.
