X FACTOR creator Simon Cowell has shown off his new, all-electric Mini eMastered – and it’s got an Isle of Wight number plate.
The news follows the launch of the Mini eMastered model from David Brown Automotive (DBA).
It’s a classic Mini remastered as a luxurious, clean city car.
DBA delivered the vehicle to the television personality, which has the distinctive ‘DL’ registration letter code.
In receiving the car, Mr Cowell has become the owner of the very first all-electric Mini eMastered.
In the video below, Formula E pit lane reporter, Nicki Shields, joins Mr Cowell to discuss the purchase.
“It’s my baby – literally my little baby,” said Mr Cowell.
“I’ve always wanted a mini, and of all the cars I’ve ever had in my life, this is my favourite.
“This one, I will always, always keep. Inside, it is like a little Rolls Royce.”
As with all the British firm’s modernised commissions, Mr Cowell’s bespoke Mini eMastered has been hand-built from the ground up over the course of hundreds of hours.
