The smash hit comedy One Man, Two Guvnors is returning to the Island this Spring.

Richard Bean’s popular modern farce, an adaptation of the classic A Servant to Two Masters, is to be performed at Department in Ryde this February.

This side-splitting production by Horse Box Theatre has a new staging with scenes happening around the audience and is full to the brim with laughs.

The story is set in 1963, and follows the antics of recently fired Francis Henshall, as he attempts to juggle duties for two new ‘guvnors’, trying to keep them apart to avoid discovery of his double life – with hysterical results.

Isle of Wight County Press:

Award-winning comedy performer Joe Plumb returns to the role of Francis ‘Confidential’ Henshall more than six years after last performing the part.

Joe said: “It’s one of the best comedy roles out there. There are some parts that you are constantly drawn back to because you have such a strong connection with the character.

"Francis is a food-loving, delusional optimist who is way out of his depth… so I find it quite easy to get into the role! Plus, I get to do it with one of the best casts around!”

Holly Downer brings her hilarious take on Francis’s love interest, Dolly.

Zoe Divers will be returning to the role of Rachel Crabbe disguised as her dead brother.

It is a family affair with three of the Gwinnetts performing together: Fiona takes on Charlie, Paul returns as Lloyd and Robbie will be playing the hilarious posh-boy, Stanley.

Take yourself to Department and enjoy this comedy from Horse Box Theatre Company. One Man, Two Guvnors runs from February 1 to 4.
