I HAVE read your article by Rebecca Roncoroni in last week’s issue (CP print 25-11-22 and online) where she said Southampton Treatment Centre only pay for minor procedures.
I’ve just returned home after neuro surgery, which was cancelled eight times.
I spent over £200 in fares even after Red Jet’s NHS deductions. Because I’m on a pension, I didn’t qualify for any compensation.
Her idea of £60 a week should be nearer £50 a day.

Don’t forget that many of us have to get up at the crack of dawn to make appointments.
