Ryde firefighters were called to Quarr Hill this morning (Friday), at about 7.50am, where a vehicle was on fire, on the driveway of a property.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hoses to put out the flames.
Southern Vectis's routes 4, 49 and 9 were subject to delays and diversions, for a time, and traffic was heavy towards Ryde, from Quarr.
The blaze was out by 8:30am and traffic is returning to normal.
