BOTH Bembridge RNLI's lifeboats were launched this evening (Thursday) to two separate incidents.
RNLB Alfred Albert Williams was launched at 5pm to assess and probably medivac a passenger from an 8m charter angling vessel.
The passenger was suffering from potential heat stroke.
Lifeboat crews were quickly on the scene in Sandown Bay.
Having transferred the casualty to the lifeboat, she returned to the offshore boathouse to await the arrival of ambulance and paramedic teams.
In the meantime, RNLB Norman Harvey was launched at 5.21pm to a separate incident involving an 18-year-old male who became ill whilst onboard his family rib in Priory Bay.
The rib made its way towards the offshore boathouse, where he was transferred to the lifeboat and brought to land, where an ambulance was waiting.
