Two fire engines were sent to Shanklin this afternoon (Thursday).
FIREFIGHTERS were sent to Shanklin this afternoon (Thursday, July 21) following reports of a bin lorry fire.
Two fire engines were called to Atherley Road just before 1pm.
The fire was out on arrival, but crews used a thermal imaging camera and raked rubbish from the rear of the vehicle.
Fire crews left the scene at around 1.20pm.
