Air Ambulance landed near Sandown Pier this afternoon (Monday).
TOURISTS and residents alike were surprised to see the Air Ambulance land on Sandown beach this afternoon (Monday, July 18).

Air Ambulance crews arrived at the scene, south of Sandown Pier, just before 5pm.
Crews have been giving medical attention to a person on the beach.

UPDATE: We have had confirmation that the man died at the scene.
He was a tourist, aged in his 70s.
