AN ISLE of Wight gym is hosting a charity boxing event later this month, in support of Ukraine.

A show stopping night of white collar boxing is coming to Gurnard Pines Resort on May 28, courtesy of Assassin Events. 

Two title fights, one four-rounder and a five-rounder are on the cards, with veteran Steve Mills facing off against Billy Waters.

Meanwhile, young bucks Alex Harris and Connor Steptoe, who are matched on experience, will go toe to toe, and are expected to bring the "fight of the night".

"All of our wonderful fighters are ready to rumble," said organiser, Lisa Noble. 

"Two bars, twelve bouts of white collar boxing, food, music, and fundraising for Ukraine.

"Tickets are on sale now, and our shows sell out quickly, so be warned.

"See you there for a fabulous night."

Doors open 6.30pm, with first bell at 7pm.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.
