FIREFIGHTERS dealt with a bin lorry fire in Freshwater this morning (Monday).
Both Freshwater and Newport crews were called to the scene.
They used breathing apparatus and a Cobra ultra high-pressure lance to initially tackle the blaze, which was located in the rear of the lorry.
After the lorry was emptied, firefighters used hose reel jets to extinguish and damp down the area.
The crews saved the vehicle from any serious damage.
