Police say a file will be prepared for the coroner.
POLICE have confirmed a man died following a medical episode on board a boat in Yarmouth this morning (Friday).
Emergency service teams, including police and ambulance, were called to the scene near Westhill Lane at approximately 11am.
Ventnor and Needles Coastguard Rescue Teams also responded, as well as Yarmouth RNLI.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary has said: “We were called at 10.57am following reports of a medical episode.
"Officers attended, along with our colleagues, and located a man in his 70s on board a boat.
"Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the man sadly died at the scene.
"His family have been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
