FRESHWATER firefighters were called to tackle a fire inside a transit van today (Wednesday).
The fire was almost out on arrival, firefighters confirmed, but smoke was still seen to be coming from the vehicle.
The Freshwater crew used a hose reel jet to dampen down, and cutting tools to access the rear of the vehicle.
The battery was also removed in the interests of safety.
