Firefighters from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Rescue Service have attended a 'small fire' under a recovery truck's bonnet this lunchtime (Thursday), at around 1.15pm.
It was out by the time they arrived - extinguished by the truck's driver.
However, they used a hose reel to make the incident safe and a thermal imaging camera to ensure it was fully out.
After the incident on Coach Lane, they returned to the fire station at 1:40pm.
A recovery operation was underway for the damaged truck.
