A MAN who kept going into areas of Newport and Ryde he was banned from, has been jailed.

Bradley Kyle Sparshot, 29, of Furrlongs, Newport, admitted entering an area prohibited by a criminal behaviour order, while in breach of suspended sentence.

His case was heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, February 23.

He was given 14 weeks in custody, and must pay a surcharge of £128.

In December, he was remanded in custody charged with breaching his criminal behaviour order after visiting areas of Ryde again.

After being released, he did the same thing again on January 5.

Magistrates had previously ordered him to engage in a rehabilitation activity order, to prevent him from re-offending.

But on his most recent court appearance, he was given a custodial sentence.
