FOR the second time today (Saturday), the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was called into action at Northwood.
They received an emergency call of a van ablaze in a layby on Newport Road at 4.13pm.
An appliance from Newport attended the engine fire, which caused extensive damage to the vehicle's front cab, according to a fire service spokesperson.
The fire was extinguished and the operation wrapped up by 5.01pm.
