EMERGENCY services have been called to a van on fire at a supermarket in Newport this afternoon (Monday).
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service responded to a van that caught alight in the car park at Sainsbury's on Foxes Road.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "We were called to a van on fire in the Sainsbury's car park at 4.44pm.
"We sent one pump from Newport, and two breathing apparatus were used.
"The vehicle was recovered, although we are not sure of the cause of the fire."
Nobody was reported as injured following the incident.
