A MEDICAL incident in West Wight was attended by several emergency respondents this afternoon (Thursday).
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance were accompanied by ambulance and fire crews at the scene to help a woman in need of medical assistance.
Freshwater Fire Station confirmed the helicopter had been sent to assist after receiving the initial call earlier in the day.
The patient has now been taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. via the Air Ambulance service.
Emergency teams were stood down from the incident shortly after the helicopter left the area.
