EMERGENCY services worked together to access and help a patient during a medical emergency in Lake this morning (Saturday).
Staff from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service as well as crews from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service worked together to free a patient from a house on Brownlow Road at 7.54am.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "Fire crews assisted us with gaining access to the property in order to access the person in question.
"They have now been passed into the care of the Air Ambulance and flown to Southampton General Hospital."
A spokesperson for the fire service added: "We sent one appliance from Sandown, they assisted in gaining access the to the property."
