THERE has been a medical emergency in Ryde, with the air ambulance touching down at Greenmount Primary School.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance flew in to the school field at St Vincent's Road, but was not required to airlift the casualty.

The patient was taken by road to St Mary's Hospital.
