THE Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was called to a medical emergency at Alverstone this morning (Saturday).
Two crews from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, and the air ambulance helicopter, attended the scene, near Sandown, at around 10.15am.
A spokesperson for the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service said: "We attended an incident in Alverstone. The casualty was brought in to St Mary's Hospital by ambulance, with assistance from the air ambulance."
The casualty had suffered a medical episode.
