FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a car fire on Canteen Road, near Apse Heath.

A crew from Newport Fire Station were called to the scene at 1.47pm to reports of a car well alight.

Firefighters were called out by the car owner and all occupants are accounted for. No one was injured.
